Coddiwomple Walks

Coddiwomple Walks has been established to encourage people from the communities of Prestwich, Whitefield and beyond to ‘get active in the New Year’ by joining us on our weekly wellbeing walks.

We want to promote and encourage physical activity, mental wellbeing, social cohesion and engagement. Our walks will be informal, friendly activities that give participants ‘something to look forward to’ each week.

All our walks take place in the countryside on our doorsteps and are, 4 to 5 miles in length. Some longer walks will be introduced later in the project.
At the end of every walk there will be the opportunity for a brew, a chat, and a warmup back at The Barn.

Coddiwomple Walks are pleased to advise that we have been successful with funding bids to The Parklife Community Fund and the Bury Wellness Investment Programme, for Prestwich and Bury West. The funding we have been allocated means we are going to be able to offer our Wednesday walks through the spring and summer months. Watch this space for further info on Thursday walks exploring Heaton park and surrounding areas, starting from late March.
